Specifics
With any order, you will receive a laminated and dried Coomassie-stained SDS-page gel and the transferred proteins on a nitrocellulose membrane (PVDF is available upon request). Each sample is run with directly transferred molecular weight size markers that represent the size ranges of your protein(s). If you require a certain tissue not listed, please contact us and in most cases we can accommodate your needs.

Proteins are extracted from tissues utilizing procedures that account for the differences in each tissue’s make-up to ensure consistency across all samples. The procedures are also designed to minimize potential proteolytic activity during the extraction process. Depending on the steps involved, you may even request the use of custom protocols that concentrate on proteins that are localized in a particular region of the cell.

With each tissue ordered, you will receive a minimum of three lanes of that tissue. You can use these additional lanes for your negative controls, or you can use them to test additional antibodies. You may even send us a protein sample to include alongside the specified tissues for your convenience in establishing a positive control or for measuring quantitative expression levels.
